It is a depiction of a Cafe Pool Hall Bar ambiance in demure subtly of Browns, beige, black and the burnish auburn which adds the warm tone to the atmosphere. They don't look as though they are having fun do they? Their kinda just chilling looking at the drunkard that is sleeping at the other table. As we all know Vincent Van Gogh had a very unhappy life and this depiction notates the lack of a happy balance within him. The entire illusion says a lot about what he was trying to tell us about his life. We should imagine greatness in spite of the delusion forecasted here in his depiction.

We could take the opportunity here and say the people walked in off the Grand Canal into the Night Cafe with Pool Table to have a few drinks and a quick game of pool. It will distinctly lighten the demure and add another glint of curiosity to the Night Cafe depiction.

Let's go, first we have Vincent Van Gogh The Café Terrace on the Place Du Forum Arles at Night, c.1888 and right next to it we are featuring Leonid Afremov Venice Grand Canal.

They almost have a striking resemblance but can you tell which one was painted with a knife? No, you can't can you. Tell the truth, shame the devil! The Cafe Terrace is one of Van Gogh's more colorful pieces. He stepped into the limelight for this one but it was still night time. Leonid's Venice Grand Canal is at night too with a little more room for impression in the colorful use of the Palette Knife strokes. So vivid against so demure. Use your imagination. Take a look and tell us what you think. We love you Van Gogh but I think we need to share the love because it is impeccable.

Let's just fall in love with this artist who shall be known for years to come for his brilliant hand work with "The Color Is Knifed." Leonid Afremov.
